With reference to your letter of the 30th January 1908, No: 2381/1907/1908, (with enclosures), relative to the acquisition by the Admiralty from the Colonial Government of Hong Kong of the freehold interest in Kowloon Marine Lots Nos: 35 & 36 and Hong Kong Marine Lots Noa: 20 & 21; I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you, for the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, that they are glad to learn that the Colonial Government agree to waive the right to construct and carry sewers, drains, &c., through these Lóts' as proposed to be reserved to them in the Conveyances.
2. In regard to the portion of Austin Road acquir- ed by the Admiralty in exchange for a portion of Kowloon Marine Lot No: 36, the condition as set out in paragraph 4 of H.E. the Governor's despatch (copy enclosed with your letter above-quoted) was agreed upon in connection with the exchange, and My Lords concur in this reservation being
embodied in the Deed as proposed.
3 The adjustment of boundaries, referred to in
paragraph 7 of the despatch, consequent upon the alteration
in the alignment of Macdonnel Road has been approved by My
Lords, and the necessary amendment in the Conveyance of
Kowloon Marine Lots Nos: 35 & 36 is concurred in.
4.
My Lords assume that the other amendment a
required by them will be made in the Conveyances in question
